Flexible Working Requests

From April 2009, The Employment Act extends the right to request flexible working to parents of children up to the age of 16.  At present, the right exists for carers of adults and parents with a child under the age of 6, or a disabled child under the age of 18, to make a request for flexible working.  Employers are under a duty to consider such requests seriously and only reject them for good business reasons.
