This policy sets out the need to safeguard employees against bullying and/or harassment of any nature and the procedure that should be followed when dealing with allegations of bullying/harassment.

How do I investigate an allegation of bullying that has been made against one of our managers?
Answer
Establish the allegation from the person who has raised the complaint, then interview any relevant witnesses. You will then need to discuss the allegation with the person accused of bullying. A decision then needs to be made as to whether disciplinary action is appropriate. You must also inform the complainant of the outcome of your investigation and let them know they have the right to appeal.
